Mr. Mitchell Lynn Kimsey: Obituary

Mitchell Lynn Kimsey, age 62, of Turtletown, TN passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Mitchell was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a member of the Fields of the Wood Church of God of Prophecy. He had worked at the Tennessee Copper Company at the C S Plant. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He helped many people in the community through volunteer work. He was preceded in death by parents, Paul and Aleece Runion Kimsey and brothers, Lewis Kimsey and Randall Kimsey.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty two years, Brenda Morrow Kimsey of the home; children, Derrick (Kelly) Kimsey, Jeremy (Gail) Kimsey and Melissa Kimsey (Micah Ralston); Brother, Dennis Kimsey; Sister, Faye Nicholson; grandchildren, Bryson Kimsey, Lacey Kimsey, Avery Ralston, Conner Kimsey, Tyler Kimsey, Cora Kimsey and Mason Kimsey. Many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday evening, August 19th, at 7:00 PM from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Richard Morrow, Rev. Mark Reid and Rev. Gerald Mann officiating. Music will be by Clara Reid. Pallbearers include, Leslie Nicholson, Gary Nicholson, Greg Morrow, Darren Kimsey, Kenny Morrow, Tim Kimsey, Travis Kimsey and Roger Morrow. Honorary pallbearers include, Danny Cole, Eddie Morrow, Jim Payne, James Payne, Greg Kimsey, Micah Ralston, Doug Dilbeck, Brandon Dockery, Winford Taylor and all of Mitchell’s grandchildren. Interment will follow Saturday, August 20th at 12:00 PM in the Liberty cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 4:00 PM until the funeral hour at 7:00 PM.
