Geneva Marie Warren, age 89 of Morganton, GA passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Warren was born on February 11, 1927 to James Avery and Dovie Elizabeth Picklesimer Wilson. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, gardening and bird watching. Mrs. Warren was a mother and grandmother to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Thomas Avery Warren, II and son, Michael Avery Warren.
She is survived by daughters, Sandra Harper (Don) of Morganton and Carol Miller (Don) of Blue Ridge; brother, Truman Wilson (Helen) of Blue Ridge; sister, Emma Jane Neely (Amos) of South Lyon, MI; seven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Music will be by Amanda Galloway. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesse Miller, Marc Miller, James Grice and Shaun Bath. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Cruse and Chad Galloway. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, July 18, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Scott Cruse at 17155 Morganton Hwy., Morganton, GA 30560.
