Mrs. Della Wanda Sue Ritchie: Obituary

Mrs. Della Wanda Sue Ritchie, age 74, of McCaysville, GA, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016. Mrs. Ritchie was born in Fannin County, GA to the late James Frank and Minnie Belle Welch Millsaps. She was a homemaker and a member of the McCaysville Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by son, Ray Ritchie. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, James L. “Jimmy” Ritchie of the home; children, James Alan (Cindy) Ritchie of Blue Ridge, GA, Keith (Lynn) Ritchie of McCaysville, GA, Tammy (Al) Lively of Loganville, GA; sister, Carolyn (Harry) Kyle of Blue Ridge, GA; aunt, Reva Weeks of McCaysville, GA; eight grandchildren, Michael (Marites) Ritchie, Melissa (Stacy) Ritchie Galloway, Heath (Andrea) Davis, Heather (Jarred) Love, Anthony Ritchie, Ryan Ritchie, Tyler Ritchie and Nina Ritchie; eight great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 7th at 11:00 A.M. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Minister Bill Johnston and Minister Dennis Morris officiating. Congregational music will be by the McCaysville Church of Christ. Pallbearers will include, Mark Millsaps, Billy Simonds, Lee Weldon, Clayton Weldon, Tyler Weldon and Stacy Galloway. Interment will follow in the McCaysville Church of Christ cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
