Mrs. Ermal Sue Thomas: Obituary

Ermal Sue Thomas age 99 of Chatsworth GA, formally of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Chatsworth Health Care Center. Mrs. Thomas was born on January 15, 1917 in Mascot, TN to the late Bruce and Myrtle Thrasher Merrell. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Mobile Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by sons, Bruce Patterson and Scott Housley; daughters, Brenda Jo Patterson Perkins and Patty Patterson; brother, Harold Merrell and sister, Wilma Godfrey.

Survivors are her husband, Bobby R. Thomas of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Reese, Toni, Jeff, Scott, Renee, Maurice, Merrill, Pam, Janey, Peggy, James, Robert, Bruce and Troy; many great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. James Howard Galloway and Rev. Danny Queen officiating. Music will be by Jan Pelfrey and Ed Vest. Pallbearers will be Jeff Forrester, James Harper, Robert Harper, Troy Harper, Merrill Perkins and Maurice Perkins. Interment will follow in the Barnes Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, July 4, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
