Keaton Weston Long, age 13 of Morganton, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at his home. Keaton was born February 26, 2003 in Blairsville, GA to William Long and Charlotte Wilson Long. He attended Toccoa Baptist Church and he was a student at Fannin County Middle School. Keaton loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also liked swimming and listening to music and spending time in the garden with his mamaw and papaw.
Survivors include: father, William Long, mother, Charlotte Wilson Long, maternal grandparents, Steve and Thyra Wilson, paternal grandparents, Richard and Martha Long, brother, Kolby Long, sister, Kinley Long, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home in Blue Ridge, GA. with the Rev. Terry Thrasher, Rev. Jeff Fair, and Rev. Shannon Spurling officiating. Music provided by Pauline White. Entombment will follow in Union Memory Gardens in Blairsville, GA. Pallbearers will be James Wilson, George Wilson, Kevin Chamaty and Jeremy Tammen. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Clemmons, Evan Thomas & Jack Clemmons.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Friday, June 24, 2016, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
