Joan Helen Wallace, age 84 of Cumming, GA formally of Epworth, GA passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Chelsey Park Health and Rehabilitation in Dahlonega, GA. Mrs. Wallace was born on February 3, 1932 in Flushing, NY to the late Joseph and Vera Toth Kollinay. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Wallace was of the Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Wallace, Sr. and son, Roy L. Wallace, Jr.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Patricia Wallace of Cumming, GA and Kim Stidham of San Jose, CA; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

A Celebration of her life will be conducted on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Father Brandon Doyle as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Andrew Diaz, Elliott Thornton and Bill Frazer. Interment will follow in the Helping Hand Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, June 22, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
