Mr. Earl Jackson Pittman, age 64 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at home with family by his side. Earl was born April 28, 1952 in McCaysville, GA to the late Garland Pittman and Cennie Holden Pittman. A member of Hot House Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Weldon Pittman. Earl was an Iron Worker by trade and he enjoyed riding motorcycles in his spare time. He served his country during the Vietnam Era enlisting in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Riders Post 82 of Ellijay.
Survivors include mother, Cennie Pittman, daughter, April (Jaime) Chapman, step-daughter, Stephanie Ingle, sister, Louise Coleman, sister, Teresa Queen, brother, Johnny Pittman, brother, Ricky Pittman, two grandchildren, Chyenne and Sierra Chapman and special friends, Renae and Traci Holman and a host of relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Sunday, June 19, 2016, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Mineral Bluff Shriners chapter number 71.
