Marilyn Jean Cowart, age 51, of Morganton, GA passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at her home. Ms. Cowart was born in Augusta, GA on January 31, 1965 to the late Joseph Edward Atwood and Patricia Belle Bryant Atwood. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Jason Cline of Morganton; daughter Yvonne Cowart or Morganton; very serious close friend, Fredric deBray of Morganton; and five grandchildren, Jacquelyn Cline, Mallory Cline, Justin Cline, Mayleigh Cline, and Aros Kolacz.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. George Cline officiating.
