Mr. James Weldon Davis, age 66, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was born in Fannin County on July 21, 1949 to the late Olen Lee and Bessie Farmer Davis. He attended Salem #2 Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Walter Davis; and sister, Frances Kaylor.

He is survived by brother, Waldo Davis of Mineral Bluff; sister, Dorothy Rogers of Blue Ridge; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel of Blue Ridge with Rev. Randy Hooper and Rev. Doyle Davis officiating. Music will be provided by the Caylor Family. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Leon Davis, Bryant Davis, Daniel Davis, Jacob Davis, Brandon Whitener, Eric Whitener, and Collin Queen. The staff of Pruitt Hospice will serve as honorary pallbearers.
