Mr. Erith Elon Rhodes, age 90 of Blue Ridge, passed away April 10, 2016 at his home. Mr. Rhodes was born October 7, 1925 in Hemptown, GA to the late Holland Rhodes and the late Eva Rhodes. A member of the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church, he enjoyed gardening in his spare time and being outdoors. He was an assembly line worker for Cadillac in Detroit, Michigan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dortha Rhodes and several of his brothers and sisters.
Survivors include loving wife, Ruby Collis Rhodes, son, Robert (Jackie) Rhodes, son, Rick (Terri) Rhodes, daughter, Cheryl (Pat) Dobson, step-daughter, Pam (Donny) Godfrey, step-son, Johnny Davis, one sister, two brothers, six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Collis and Rev. Tim Garrett officiating. Music provided by Renee Watkins and Charlie Farmer. Interment will follow in the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeffrey Rhodes, Kirkland Godfrey, Kameron Godfrey, Matt Godfrey, Donald Godfrey and Andrew Nichols.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 12-2 pm at the funeral home.
