Students in 5th grade created working street lamps using Christmas lights, Christmas light wiring, straws and batteries. They had to properly wire circuits to make their street lamps light up. Students also had the opportunity to hear guests from Tri State Electric. They taught the students about static electricity, electricity and circuits to help them have a better understanding of how electricity works in their everyday lives. West Fannin’s 5th grade would like to thank Mr. Stacy Chastain and Mr. David Lewis for sharing with the students.
