BRES ALPHA Stem Day

Blue Ridge Elem

On March 11th, which was a BRES STEM Day, Geza Csuros from Geza Designs spoke to the BRES ALPHA students. He explained the history, current trends, engineering, designing, and mathematics of architecture. He also explained the importance of paying attention to the small details when creating architecture. He shared an actual house plan that he designed with the students. He introduced them to several interesting architect apps: AutoCad, ArchiCad, Sketchup, and Vray. He also demonstrated the process of 3D Imaging. He finally spoke about the new tiny house and tree house rave.

A few comments from some of the ALPHA students are as follows.

“Mr. G was extremely awesome. I have a loss of words for how awesome he was, which is a good thing.”

Bryce Ware (5th Grade)

“Thanks for explaining how fascinating architecture can be. Great presentation!”

Blake Colley (4th Grade)

“I learned that you can make a house to resemble just about anything.”

Conner Johnson (4th Grade)
