Promoting House Bill 91 Diplomas, You May Be Eligible

Education

A Georgia law was passed in March 2015 making it possible for former high school students who did not earn a diploma because of not passing the Georgia High School Graduation Tests to receive a high school diploma.  If you earned all of your Georgia high school credits but didn’t pass one or more of the graduation tests, you could be eligible to receive a high school diploma.  Fifty students from Fannin County High School have come forward to receive their diploma since this bill was passed last year.  If you earned a Certificate of Performance from Fannin County High School and think you might qualify, please call Fannin High at 706-632-2081.  Leave a message for Jill Key with your name, phone number, and year that you should have graduated.  She will get back with you.  That’s 706-632-2081.

Adults with newly awarded high school diplomas have been able to attend college, take advantage of training opportunities at work, and receive pay raises and promotions all because Governor Deal signed House Bill 91 in to law last legislative session.
