Edith Foy Beasley Barnes: Obituary

Edith Foy Beasley Barnes, age 80, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She was born May 19, 1935 to the late Roy and Bradie Bryan Beasley, Sr. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Lensey Barnes and her brother, Roy Beasley, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Lawrence “Larry” Eugene Barnes of Copperhill, Cheryl Lynn Barnes Williams of Mauk, GA, and Lensey Lee Barnes of Morganton; grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Cearley, Deborah Diane Hale Gott, Justin Lee Barnes, and David Lensey Barnes; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the residence of Lee and Harriet Barnes. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
