Sisson Property Deal goes through

Approximately 5 months ago Mr. Jim Sisson decided to build a new material staging area to load lumber at the Sisson Log Home property in Blue Ridge, GA.  When he applied for a build permit it was discovered the property belonged to the City of Blue Ridge.  The city did not realize the property didn’t belong to Sisson until he applied for the permit.  The property, which is fenced in and around his property, is a very small area, 1/16 acre.

During the City of Blue Ridge Council meeting today, March 1st, it was finally approved for the City to sell the property to Sisson so he can move forward with his plans.  Initially there was a hold up since the connected property was leased to someone who needed to revise their lease with the city to allow the sell.  It appears all has worked out and Sisson will purchase the small portion for approximately 4 thousand dollars.
