Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Joyce Workman McGill; two daughters, Holly McGill Myers of Jefferson City, TN and Terry Workman Sharp and husband Rocky of Epworth, GA; grand daughter, Sera Fox Sharp; two sisters, Alice Walker and husband Billy of Hanceville, AL and Rachael Newman and husband Gerald Patterson of Ellijay, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Memorial Services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel in Copperhill. Military honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday prior to the service from 12:00 noon until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the pet rescue charity of your choice.
