Hope Yvonne Bell, 92, passed away at Fannin Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 17. Her mother was the late Ethel Duval. She was a member of the New Life Fellowship Church in Blairsville.
Wilbur & Hope Bell were pastors of Assembly of God churches for over 50 years throughout VA, MD, PA, W.VA and FL. Hope loved her Jesus, flowers, and talking to people. She never met a stranger. Her favorite question of all times was: “How old are you?”, she rarely missed the “Waltons” on TV and loved her telephone calls.
Preceded in death are her husband, Wilbur Bell, children: Sharon & David Bell, The surviving children are Susan Hunter of Virginia Beach, Beverly (Steve) Whitmer, of Blue Ridge, GA & Jonathan Bell of Macon, GA. Grandchildren are Max (Lisa) Boward of W.VA., Kevin (Georgia) Whitmer of Blairsville, GA, Brian (Cheryl) Whitmer of Cumming, GA, Joel (Janna) Bell of NYC, NY, Vonnie McMullen of VA Beach, VA & Sherri (Tim) Rogers of Chesapeake, VA. There are 13 Great-Grand Children : and 1 Great-great Grandchild.
God is so good, he allowed her to make her heavenly entrance on her daughter, Sharon’s birthday.
Visiting hours will be on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 12 to 1P.M. at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home in Blue Ridge. The funeral will follow at 1 pm. A private Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery on Tuesday at 1 pm. Rev. Don Parmley of New Life Fellowship Church and Pastor Steve Lamb will be officiating. Jonathan Bell, Ginny Hedstrom and Dewayne Housley will be singing.
