Mr. William Dale Ellis, Sr., age 76, of Jasper, GA, passed away January 3, 2016, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family . He was born in Blue Ridge, GA on September 4, 1939 to William Frank Ellis, Jr. and Bonnie Williams Ellis. Dale graduated from West Fannin High School, attended Young Harris Junior College and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1960. After a 35 years career with Allstate Insurance Company he retired to Jasper, GA residing in Hunter’s Ridge. Dale loved to play Golf, traveling and World War II History.

Survivors include his wife of forty six years of marriage, Jean Ellis; three sons, Zachary, Brian and Dale, Jr.; daughter, Roxanne Costa; grandchildren, Brandon, Nathan, Jacy and James; and two brothers, Donald and Douglas Ellis.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Meadows officiating. Music will be provided by Imogene Stewart. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
