Are You Righteous

Are you a righteous person? You can, and should be.

Righteousness means having the ability to stand in the presence of Father God without the sense of guilt or inferiority.

I ask you, ”Are you there yet? Can you do that?” I hope so, because

1^st Cor 6:9 says, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God” Don’t be deceived.

A righteous man is one that is living his life through the Son of God, and has walked out of his old life style in the old world into the new kingdom of God. He has changed worlds. My friend you get in the new kingdom by being washed in the blood of the lamb, Christ Jesus. He alone is righteous and the maker of our righteousness.

If you are a Christian, living a life of unrighteousness, or one of weakness and defeat, it is because you don’t know who you are in Christ Jesus, or what he has done for you.

The desire to get rid of sin consciousness has given birth to all the religion of the world, but God is. Satan is and sin still is, but our God has made provision to make a new you. He has planned to impart His own nature to you, taking out the old sin nature and replacing it with his own nature. This should destroy your sin consciousness.

The sense of unworthiness destroys faith and robs us of our peace of mind. Only Jesus can replace unworthiness. Are you washed in the blood? Have you tasted his wonderful love? My friend love is our sin cover.

In the garden, Adam had perfect fellowship with God before he was deceived by the devil. Now that lost righteousness has been restored to us, the believer, through the washing of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. He broke its power.

Heb 9:26 “Now once at the end of the age has He been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.” Have you thrown yours in the lot?

Never again should you shrink under that sin teaching, and look upon yourself as a failure and sin- ruled. Why not? Because the Father Himself planned the redemption and brought it about through His precious Son, Christ Jesus, and set His seal upon the redemptive work of Jesus; making the believer in Jesus righteous. The righteousness of Christ Jesus is to and for all men that will believe.

1Pet 3:18 18” For Christ has once also suffered for sins, the just for the unjust;( or the righteous for the unrighteous ) that he might bring us to God, being put to death (killed) in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit” He covered you. He make you, the new you.

1Pet 2:2424 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, (can you see your sins in his body hanging on a bloody tree), and if so it is time to walk away from them. That we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed”. Look, if your sin is not there, hell will be your home! Listen my friend repent today.

Peter said, ”Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourself likewise with the same mind as his”

2 ”That you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God”.

1Pet5:8 be sober, ”Be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour”. That would be you, and that would be true. The devil hates righteousness. He wants to keep you living on Wrong Street.

1Pet 5:10 ”But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you, as righteous”

The big question is how do I get there?

First of all, how well do you really know Jesus, and how big is your investment in trying to learn?

John 8:19 Then said they (that would be the Priest and the wise.)Unto Him ,where is thy Father? Jesus answered, ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also”. They were self righteous.

Let’s consider the work of the Holy Ghost. Watch his work ,and he will work with you.

Matt1:18-23 18 ”Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost

20 But while he, Joseph, thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost”.

2The angel said, 3 ”Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us,( by the Holy Ghost.” my comment)

How well do you know the Holy Ghost? That’s how you know Jesus. Have you received the fullness of the Holy Spirit yet?

That same Holy Spirit that followed Jesus is now following you. He will keep you on the path of righteousness. The Father sent Him in Jesus’ name. Work with Him.

John 15: 1Jesus said ”I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me ye can do nothing”.

You my friend, you are the branch. He can’t flow without you, the branch, to flow through; and you have nothing to flow with, without his Holy Spirit flowing through you.

My friend it is called, “dying to live, or walking out of your mess.”

Gal2:20 Paul said ”I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lived in me: and the life which I now live in this flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me”. Paul is saying I don’t live on Sin Street anymore now that I have learned to trust Him, the Faithful One.

2Cor 517 ”Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” You can’t keep being the same old, same old.

You are a brand new self, just as if you had never lived before; just as if you had never sinned. Are you in Christ and have you received this “self change”?

Rom1:8 Paul said,” There is therefore now, no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit”. You have been put right, made righteousness. ( Notice the words to them in him)
