On Thursday, November 12th a group of students and staff had the opportunity of visiting the Chattahoochie Forest National Fish Hatchery. The day started with a rain storm, but by the time the group reached the mountain hatchery it was a beautiful day. Most students visit the hatchery in elementary school, but this trip was specifically designed to address jobs in the Department of the Interior. Students not only learned how the hatchery operates, but got the chance to sit down and visit with the employees and ask questions about the job opportunities in fishing and wildlife management.  At the end of the visit, each student received a list of over 50 careers available to them and had heard where to continue their education toward this goal. It was a very worthwhile and informative trip.
