Fannin County Academic Teams Compete

Saturday, November 14 was an exciting day for the Academic Teams of Fannin County High School.  Both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams traveled to Flowery Branch to compete in the Foothills Regional Competition.  For our region consisting of 7 area high schools, the Varsity Team brought home a 1^st place trophy while the Junior Varsity Team brought home a 3^rd place trophy.  After fierce competition, both teams completed two of the three final elimination rounds with the Junior Varsity ranking 8^th and the Varsity ranking 7^th out of the 24 invited high school teams.

December 7 will be an evening of celebration at Southern Charm in historic downtown Blue Ridge at their annual end of year banquet.  Students will be receiving individual trophies, gift certificates from local merchants, certificates of achievement, and letter jacket pins.  Family members and guests will be invited to participate in this fellowship.

Coaches Kim Kribbs and Sabrina Howard are both proud and honored to have mentored and coached these young people this school year and look forward to another successful year of competition.
