At the regular meeting on October 27, the Fannin County Board of Commissionners presented their department heads reports for the second time.

This new policy has been met with resounding approval from both the commissioners themselves and the citizenry of Fannin County in its efforts to provide better transparency and information to the public. The people are treated to reports from the head of each department individually who have even begun to explain budget requests at these meetings.

After these reports at Tuesdays meeting, however, issues were raised in public comments questioning the effectiveness, openness, and rudeness of the animal control facility as three individuals stood to bring forth complaints against the department and against an specific employee. Commissioner Sosebee assured the people that this issue as well as the issue of equipment and tools at the facility being possibly upgraded to house more animals
