Robert Kenneth Thomas, Sr: Obituary

Robert Kenneth Thomas, Sr passed on October 25, 2015, of Copperhill, TN where he recently resided with his son Edwin Thomas and daughter Wendy Thomas. He was born on December 6, 1933 in Millville, NJ to Les and Pearl (Lacy) Thomas, and was raised by Harry and Evelyn (Thomas) Elwell. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family was his pride and joy. He leaves behind to share his cherished memories his daughter Wendy Thomas, son Edwin Thomas, son and daughter-in-law, Robert Thomas, Jr and Elizabeth Thomas who all reside in Copperhill, TN; his daughter and son-in-law Lucie and Richard Ciapanna of Franklinville, NJ; his beloved mother-in-law and friend, Irene Holbert of Newfield, NJ; his sister, Frances Biggs of Rosenhayn, NJ; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Patricia Thomas of Millville, NJ and sister-in-law, Jean Thomas of Malaga, NJ. As well as his very loved two grandsons, four granddaughters, three great grandsons, four great granddaughters and expectant great granddaughter who all reside in New Jersey. His nieces, nephews and cousins, friends and neighbors. His best friend, Jerry Jackson of Millville, NJ; his canine companions, Buster and Rascal. He was predeceased by his wife and most dearest friend, Joan Thomas Jackson; parents Harry and Evelyn Elwell, biological parents, Leo and Pearl Thomas; sisters Lucille Hilen, Silvia Du Bois, Mary Holt, Virginia Thomas and Myrtle Thomas; brother, Leo Thomas. His remains will be returning home to New Jersey for service for comforting his family who mostly reside there. A private viewing was held for immediate family members by the kindness and courtesy of Akins Funeral Home in Copperhill, TN followed by a private arrangement at his home in Copperhill, TN. His service will be held at Pancoast Funeral Home in Vineland, NJ on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
