Tony Edward Anderson: Obituary

Tony Edward Anderson, age 48 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Fannin Regional Hospital. He was born on March 4, 1967 in Copperhill, TN. Tony worked in construction as a carpenter. He was of the Baptist faith. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Buster Anderson.

Survivors are his wife of twenty-eight years, Margaret Q. Anderson; children, Denny and Tonya Cook of Blue Ridge, GA, Heather Messer of Gastonia, NC, Tom Messer, Gastonia, NC, Jessica and Lee Garrett of Turtletown, TN, Christina and Matthew Bryant of Epworth, GA and Roy and Kendall Payne of Blue Ridge, GA; mother, Carolyn Anderson of Blue Ridge, GA; brother, Jackie Anderson of Blue Ridge, GA; aunt, Marilyn Stillwell of Canton, GA; uncles, Bobby Curtis of Epworth, Ga, James Curtis of McCaysville, GA and Rev. Max Curtis of Mineral Bluff, GA; thirteen grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Merrell and Rev. Max Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Denny Cook, William Lingerfelt, Roy Payne, James Hughes, Chris Lingerfelt and Lee Garrett. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials may be made to help defray final expenses. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill is in charge of the arrangements.
