Mrs. Shelby Jean Dills, age 76, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on October 19, 2015 at her home. Born in Fannin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ruby Forester Ross. She was also recently preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lane Dills. She was a member of the Mobile Baptist Church and had been attending the Mineral Bluff Baptist Church.
Survivors include her brother, Douglas Ross; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Lori and Jeff Beavers, Karlene and Howard Dittrich, Becky and Kenny Hippensteel, Carl and Angie Dills, Tony and Patty Dills, Michael Dills, and Calvin and Judy Wilson.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Hughes officiating. Music will be provided by Tammy Hughes. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers; Kenny Hippensteel, Howard Dittrich, Jeff Beavers, Jerry Ross, Christopher Chapman, Calving Wilson, Carson Beavers, and Kyle Hippensteel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m. For those desiring, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Dills may be made to the American Cancer Society.
