ALPHA Students from the 3 Elementary Schools Learn About DNA

The ALPHA students in the 3 elementary schools in Fannin County have been studying all about DNA, so to tie into how DNA relates to a real-life, Lieutenant Investigator Justin Turner and Investigator Gary Edwards from Fannin County Criminal Investigation Department spoke to the students. The students had the opportunity to learn more about the job of a criminal investigator. They were able to learn about different techniques and procedures that the criminal investigators use to solve crimes. They discussed how Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Social Sciences are embedded in a criminal investigators job. They were able see hands-on materials that the criminal investigators use based on different types of crimes.
