Lady Rebels Roll Lumpkin Indians in Regional Doubleheader

The Fannin Lady Rebels hosted the Lumpkin Lady Indians in a regional double-header this past Monday to decide third place for the regional tournament. Fannin won both games, 9-1.
The 7-AAA Regional Championship will be held today at Banks County High School in Homer, GA. The Lady Rebels play at 1:00 pm. If they win, they will play again at 5:00 pm for the championship. If the Lady Rebels lose they play at 3:00 pm for third place.
Lady Rebel Whitney Campbell got the call for the first of two on the night. Campbell controlled the game the entire night. In five innings Campbell threw 86 pitches giving up only 4-hits and 1-run. She threw six strikeouts and had just one walk.
Junior Kaitlyn Dickey got the nod in the second game of the double-header. Dickey Threw 80 pitches, giving up 8-hits in 6 innings and 1-run.
Fannin had some trouble on the plate in the first game with 11 quality at bats hitting 39.29%. The Indians made several errors which Fannin was able to capitalize on. Affording them the win, 9-1. The second game was an improvement on the first with 17 quality at bats for 44.74%. The Lady Rebels took the second game in seven, 9-1.

Fannin held its senior night after being postponed for several games due to inclement weather. Left to Right; Seniors Lacey Walden, Whitney Campbell, Ashley Rhodes, Destiny Traylor, Kakyra DeGrie, Kiersten Seagle, Haylee Bearden and Allie Barfield were presented with a framed collage of pictures from their senior year.
