7-AAA Weekly Wrap-Up

Things are heating up this week in 7-AAA region play. This is a look at how the region stacks up in the sixth week of play.

#1 Franklin County Lions(2-0,3-2)

The Franklin LionsĀ is coming off a win at home against a struggling Lumpkin County IndiansĀ , easily winning the match-up 29-8. The Lions face the Dawson County Tigers in Dawsonville this Friday. Both teams are 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the region.

#2 Dawson County Tigers(2-0,3-2)

The Tigers won a close game with theĀ East Hall Vikings, 35-28. Their next match is against region opponent Franklin Lions at home.

#3 Banks County Leopards(1-1,4-1)

The Banks County Leopards took the Fannin Rebels by surprise, 52-28 last week. The Leopards have a bye this week.

#4 East Hall Vikings(1-1,1-4)

The East Hall Vikings fell to the Dawson Tigers in a close game, 28-35. The Vikings next game is at home againstĀ West Hall.

#5 West Hall Spartans(0-1,2-3)

The Spartans 2015 season is much different than last years. The reigning 7-AAAĀ champions are struggling this year after a dismal start. Coming off a loss toĀ Dawson County, 17-0 and then a bye week, the Spartans face their cross town rival East Hall Vikings this Friday.

#6 Fannin Rebels(0-1,2-3)

The Fannin Rebels faced a tough Banks County Leopards this past Friday in a very wet and messy game. QB Brad Davis was 22-37 for 289 yards with 3Ā TD. The RebelsĀ next match-up is with Lumpkin County Indians in Dahlonega this Friday at 7:30 pm.

#7 Lumpkin County Indians(0-2,2-4)

A struggling Indians is off to a slow start with a 2-4 record. The Indians travelled the long trip to Carnesville, GA to face off with the top ranked Franklin Lions. The Lions dominated the game blanking the Indians till the fourth quarter, 8-29. The Indians host a Rebels team looking for their first region win.
