Robotics Explorers Visit Fannin Elementary Schools ALPHA Students

Rebel's Corner

On Tuesday, September 29th 2015, The Robotics Explorers from Roswell, Georgia worked with the ALPHA students from Blue Ridge Elementary School, East Fannin Elementary School, and West Fannin Elementary School.  The students programmed robots to perform an assortment of tasks by using Lego Mindstorms Software and Lego Wedo Software.  The students had the opportunity to design various simple machines as well.  This experience connected perfectly to STEM education as students used technology and engineering to bring science and mathematics to life.  The students were actively engaged and able to take academic risks, learn from mistakes, and work in teams to solve real-life problems.
