Mr. Alfred Marvin Odom, age 65 of Ellijay, passed away Wednesday morning, September 16, 2015 at his home. Alfred was born June 8, 1950 in Blairsville, GA to the late Hoyet Odom and the late Elvie Beaver Odom. A member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his parents, and great-grandchildren, the Parlier twins and Landon Beaver. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include, wife Rita Odom, daughter, Suzy Gay, daughter & son-in-law, Bobbie Bartlett and Dan Keith, daughter & son-in-law, Lisa and Avery Beaver, Amy Kitchens and Kelly Odom; sister & brother-in-law, Doris & Kenneth Parker, sister & brother-in-law, Mary Jo and Sam Bateman, sister & brother-in-law, Eva and Ron Whitehead; grandchildren, Tracy and Scott Avant, Christy Holloway, Michael and Shandel Beaver, Nicole and Ronnie Howard, Sandra and Jimmy Chotas, Ashley Kitchens, Brittany Odom and Megan Beaver; great-grandchildren, Matthew Teague, Gracie Watson, Logan Teague, Hannah Watson, Luke Webster, Dani Avant, Jeremiah Chotas, and Samantha Avant.
