Daily Prayer: 08/09

“Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. The latter will do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.” Philippians 1:15-16.Dear Lord Jesus Christ, your servants do not always do you honor. When human relationships have gone bad, there arises a spirit of opposition against fellow believers. Things are said and done that bring kingdom advance to a halt. These are the kind of churches that have lost their “first love.”

But the other kind of church will serve with an abundance of “good will.” This is born in love for you and for each other. There are circumstances of ministry that cause these different attitudes to emerge. In some will arise a love that will conquer all.

Bless this believer who reads these lines with a love for you that will not be shaken.
