Mr. Benjermen “Ben” Shane McClure, age 17, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on July 30, 2015. Ben was born in Fannin County, GA on June 11, 1998. He was a member of the Glen Hope Baptist. Ben was entering his senior year at the Fannin County High School.

Survivors include his father, Jason McClure (Murial Farris) of Blue Ridge, GA; mother and step-father, Stacy and Jason Hall of Flintstone, GA; siblings, Mason McClure, Maggie McClure and Emily McClure all of Blue Ridge, GA; paternal grand parents, Bennie and Ruby McClure of Blue Ridge, GA; maternal grandparents, Floyd Edwards of Harriman, TN and Patricia Prince of Cleveland, TN; maternal great grandparent, Glenda Edwards of Crossville, TN; special cousins, Isaac and Jacob McClure, Seth and Tyler McClure and Patrick Curtis; many aunts, uncles and other cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. from the Cross Over Community Church with Rev. Darvin Couch, Rev. Jeff Fair and Rev. Lamar O’Neal officiating. Music will be provided by Renee Watkins, Maggie McClure, McHan Family and Nathan Ensley. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant (Buckhorn) Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Cory O’Donoghue, Isaac McClure, Jacob McClure, Seth McClure, Tyler McClure and Jessie Norton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday and Friday evenings from 5-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to an account at United Community Bank for Ben and Mason McClure.
