Calla Mae Clonts: Obituary

Calla Mae Lewis Clonts, age 89 of Isabella, TN, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015. She is survived by two daughters: Judy (Joe) Davis of Cleveland, TN and Janet Collins of Seymour, TN; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Jeff) Kaye of Weaverville, NC, Jerome (Lisa) Burger of Huntsville, AL and Joy (Jesse) Staininger of Knoxville, TN; seven great-grandchildren: Sydney and Cayden Burger, Felicia, Logan and Brady Kaye, Isaiah Barmmer and Blake Staininger.

She was preceded in death by husband, Paul Clonts, mother, Mary Lewis, four brothers: Dual, Eddie, Alvin and Jewel Lewis and several nieces and nephews.

Paul and Calla ran the AP Clonts Store in Isabella, TN which housed the Isabella Post Office. They were active members of the Hidden Valley Squares until Paul’s health required them to stop square dancing.

Family will be receiving friends Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Hoyt Carr officiating. Music by Sue Phillips and Scott Burger. Internment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerome Burger, Jeff Kaye, Logan Kay, Joe Davis, Jesse Staininger and Brad Davis. Honorary Pallbearers are Cayden Burger , Brady Kaye, Isaiah Barmmer and Blake Staininger.
