Mr. Thomas “Clyde” Dilbeck: Obituary

Thomas “Clyde” Dilbeck, age 81, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at Copper Basin Medical Center. Mr. Dilbeck was born in Fannin County to the late Thomas Lidge and Lela Pack Dilbeck. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and a Veteran of the United States Army. He retired as a Mechanic for Tri State EMC.

He is survived by his wife, Ina Tipton Dilbeck of Blue Ridge; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven “Todd” and Carol Dilbeck of Blue Ridge and Gerald and Rita Mathis of Hemptown; brother and sister-in-law Spence and Kathleen Dilbeck of Epworth; grandchildren Aaron and Carrie Martin, and Logan Martin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. David McLendon and Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Music will be provided by Melissa, Matthew, and Micah Postell. Military honors will be conducted by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow in Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery. Ronnie Kimsey, Richard Rymer, Johnny Ritchie, Roger Ritchie, Tim Towe, and Terry Arp will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all retired and current Tri State EMC Employees, Eulan Brooks, Gilliam Farmer, and the Senior Sunday School Class of Lebanon Baptist Church. Friends may visit with the family Sunday Evening at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m until 8:30 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
