Proverbs 3:5-7 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil.”
Lord of the Heavens and Earth, we want to trust into your hands our minds and our volitions. We confess that we do not have the perception to see things from your perspective. If we place our total trust in just what we understand without regard to the leading of your Holy Spirit, we will miss those blessings that you have in store for us and likely make a mess of things.
Today, we acknowledge that you are the creator and designer of our lives. You have a plan and a purpose for us to fulfill. If we follow your will, you will take out the detours from our future and keep us from getting lost in a maze of crossroads. We want you to direct our lives.
If this person who pauses for meditation is facing a tempting path, help this one to check it out with you. In the name of Jesus who followed your directions.
Amen.
