Mr. Rex Monroe Payne, age 70 of Blairsville, passed away June 30, 2015 at Erlanger Medical Center. Mr. Payne was born November 16, 1944 in Blairsville, GA to the late Arnold Cline Payne and the late Della Mae Jackson Payne. Rex was a lifelong resident on Union County and was of the Baptist Faith he was preceded in death by his Brother, Ray Charles Payne.
Survivors include: wife, Janice Worthington Payne, daughter, Karen Dyer, son, Timothy Rex (Julie) Payne, son, Van Arnold (Genie) Payne, all of Blairsville, sister, Gearldine (Lew) Stotts of Marietta, GA; sister-in-law, Dot Payne, of Blairsville; grandchildren, Hunter Rex Payne, Brooks Arnold Payne, and Fisher Ray Payne, 1 nephew and 2 nieces and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services: Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 5:00 pm at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. James Bradley officiating.
