Murphy, NC— Cherokee County Sheriff Derrick Palmer announced the June 11th, 2015 arrest of Randall Avery Mingus a 52 year old Murphy North Carolina man on drug related charges.
On the afternoon of June 11th, 2015 members of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division assisted Probation Officers at the residence of Mingus. During the Probation search a trafficking amount of Opiates was seized along with Methamphetamine and other Schedule II controlled substances Mingus illegally possessed.
Mingus was taken to the Cherokee County Detention Center where he was processed and given a $2,500.00 secure bond which he made that evening. Mingus is scheduled to be in Cherokee County District Court on July 01, 2015.
