Murphy, NC— Cherokee County Sheriff Derrick Palmer announced the May 20th, 2015 arrest 21 year old female Brittany Carter, 26 year female Teua Johnson, 18 year old male Orion Gibbs and 36 year old Sean Lecoq all who gave Murphy North Carolina addresses.Shortly after 9 pm May 20th, 2015 Members of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office accompanied by members of the Murphy Police Department and Cherokee Tribal Police conducted a joint operation that involved a search of a residence on Tennessee Street, Murphy North Carolina. During the search of the residence a quantity of marijuana and methamphetamine were seized from the residence. The search of the Tennessee Street residence came about as the result of an ongoing operation to combat the illegal possession and distribution of controlled substances in Cherokee County, North Carolina.
The following individuals were arrested during the search of the Tennessee Street residence:
21 year old Brittany Carter, was booked and released on a $5000.00 unsecure bond on the following charges: Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Carter is scheduled to appear in Cherokee County District Court on June 03, 2015.
26 year old Teua Johnson, was booked and is currently confined in the Cherokee County Detention Center on a $11,000.00 secure bond on the following charges: Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Appear on a Misdemeanor. Johnson is scheduled to appear in Cherokee County District Court on June 03, 2015.
18 year old Orion Gibbs, was booked and released on a $5000.00 unsecure bond for the following charges: Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Gibbs is scheduled to appear in Cherokee County District Court on June 03, 2015.
36 year old Sean Lecoq was booked and is currently confined in the Cherokee County Detention Center on a $5000.00 secure bond on the the following charges: Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Lecoq is scheduled to appear in Cherokee County District Court on June 03, 2015.
Sheriff Palmer stated
“We will continue these multi agency operations to combat the drug problem in Cherokee County.”
