FCHS FFA Members Compete in Event

Fannin County High School FFA members competed in the area 1 poultry evaluation career development event which was held earlier this year at Murray County High School. The contest consists of the placing of past production hens, a keep cull class of broiler breeders, oral reasons, interior and exterior egg grading, parts Id, ready to cook carcasses, further processed poultry, management exam and a team activity. The senior team placed 7th out of 24 teams in the area competition. Team members are Taylor VanZandt, Montana Pearson, Katie Patterson and high individual for the team Seth Davis. Seth placed 7th out of 92 contestants. The junior division placed 9th out of 24 teams. Team members are Dakota Burke, Jesse Patterson, Tayelor Long and high individual Asher Patterson. He placed 6th out of 88 contestants.
