Psalm 139:11-12 “If I say, surely the darkness will hide me, and the light will become night around me, even the darkness is light to you.” O Lord of Light, our darkness is sometimes so deep that we cannot see your light. We just want to hide ourselves so that we do not have to face the daily demands of our lives. But such thoughts are temporary and we get up and get going to meet our responsibilities for there are so many that depend on us.
We know that we cannot hide from you or ourselves. Attitudes must be dealt with. Sin must be confessed and turned from. Relationships must be restored. Expectations must be met. So we have to come out of our darkness of depression and get life moving again.
Shine the light of your grace and love on the life of this person who seeks spiritual help just now and make this one adequate for the demands of the day. Our cleansed prayer is in the name of Jesus who is the light of the world.
Amen.
