Mrs. Lillian Davis Skinner: Obituary

Mrs. Lillian Davis Skinner, age 99 formerly of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 in Blue Ridge, Georgia.Mrs. Skinner was born in Polk County, Georgia on May 25, 1915 the daughter of the late Andrew Davis and Drucilla Hulsey Davis. She was co-owner of Skinner’s Grocery and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

She was a loving, kind Christian lady who loved her Lord, church, friends, family and was always there for anyone of them! She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Johnnie and Melvin Thompson of Morganton; son and daughter-in-law, Ellis and Mary Skinner of Carrollton; nine grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Skinner, grandson, Brian Skinner; two great grandchildren, Jennifer Sutherland, Christine Rose and brother, Arthur Hulsey.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Thursday, April 23 from 12:30 until 2 p.m.

Funeral service will be Thursday, April 23 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Harris and Rev. Roger Beck officiating.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and Tommy Carroll.

Interment will be in Carrollton City Cemetery with Rev. Randall Eidson officiating.
