FCHS Theatre Department Presents Pippin

Fannin County High School Theatre Department presents Pippin Friday and Saturday, April 24-25 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, April 26 at 3:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center at Fannin County High School. After his graduation from the University of Padua, Pippin (played by senior Aaron O’Connor) returns home to win the approval of his father, Charles, (portrayed by Collin Queen) and to find his purpose in life. Enticed by the company and the Leader Player (Nathaniel Wood), Pippin tries “little bit of this, a little bit of that” to include, war, politics, and the “ways of the world.” He is left empty and vacant until he meets a young widow named Catherine (freshman Cassidy Graham) and her son, Theo (freshman Joshua Mellman), and finally realizes what is of value to him after endless pursuits. Over 90 students comprise the cast, crew and orchestra this year. Musical Directors are Scott Barnstead (orchestra) and Rachel Renick (vocals), Guest Choreographer is Marinela Crispin, Technical Director is James Hooper, and Artistic Director is Lesa Burgess. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door. Pippin is rated PG for mild language and mature content, and the show is produced by special permission from Musical Theatre International, New York, NY.
