Mrs. Imogene Louise Loudermilk Thurman: Obituary

Mrs. Imogene Louise Loudermilk Thurman, age 86, of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 9, 2015. Born in Polk County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Lee W. and Octa Franks Loudermilk. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus Jack Thurman; two sisters, Estelle Loudermilk Gilliam and Grace Loudermilk Long; and three brothers, Edgar L. Loudermilk, Lake Loudermilk, and Wayne Loudermilk . Mrs. Thurman had worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years and was a member of the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include, two sons and daughters-in-law, Don J. and Zella Thurman and Darrell L. and Susan Thurman all of Cleveland, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Devie Thurman Daws and husband David of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Chris (Amanda) Thurman, Alan (Maranda) Daws, Julie (Kenneth) Holmes, Matthew (Erica) Thurman and Zach (Carmen) Thurman; great grandchildren, Halle Daws, Jackson Thurman and Charlotte Thurman; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were conducted on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. from the Crestlawn Cemetery with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music was provided by Brownie and Vicky Whittenbarger. For those desiring, Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of the arrangements.
