Psalm 84:3-4 “Even the sparrow has found a home and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young – a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.”
O Lord Almighty, as the birds build their nests in the high places of your temple it is a symbol to us of being near to your altar. That is where we want to build our lives and raise our young. Those who do live close to you offer praises for their blessings.
You are our source of authority. You tell us how to live trusting in your protection and care. Our worship is rewarding because it reorients our thinking and helps us to be positive in the midst of negative circumstances.
It is such a privilege to be a part of the people who bow at your altar. Today, we submit to you our prayerful desires for your kingdom. We wish the whole world could know the peace that you give.
Grant this person who now prays a day and a night of peace. In the name of Jesus who is our peace we pray.
Amen.
