WFES Students Compete in STEM Activities

In March, second grade students at West Fannin completed a STEM activity using recycled materials to construct a ramp that could keep a marble moving. Students were told that Six Flags needed their help constructing a new ride and were challenged with this question: How long can you keep the marble moving inside its track?

These kindergarten students at West Fannin Elementary are participating in a STEM activity to try to make a Peeps Bunny sink. They were given several different objects to use to make the Peeps bunny sink to the bottom instead of floating on top. They had to find out which objects would sink and which would float before completing the task. After many attempts the Peeps bunny sank to the bottom of the water container.
