Ms. Ruby Donaldson, age 101, of Mineral Bluff, GA went to be with the Lord Friday, March 27, 2015.Born in Metter, GA, October 2, 1913, she spent most of her life in Savannah, GA. She was a beloved member of The Sanctuary and was an active member for many years at Derenne Ave Church of God. After moving to Mineral Bluff to live with her son’s family in 2012, she has attended New Hope Baptist Church.
Loved by many, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Alva Lee and Lamar Terrell of Savannah, GA, daughters Marlene Pinkston of Savannah, GA and Rita Willoughby of Savannah, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Rich and Elma Donaldson of Mineral Bluff, brothers Leonard Wilson of Rincon, GA and Lloyd Wilson of Midway, GA, sisters Willette Turner of Jonesboro, GA and Shirley Porter of McDonough, GA, 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Known far and wide as “Sister Ruby”, she served GOD with passion and conviction for all of her adult life. She was a “Prayer Warrior” and will be missed deeply by her family and friends.
Viewing will be at The Sanctuary, 8912 Whitfield Ave, Savannah, GA, on Tuesday, 3/31/15, from 11:00am-12:00pm followed by the funeral service conducted by Pastors Larry McDaniel and Todd McDaniel. Pallbearers are William Terrell, Darrell Dick, James Dick, Stanley Dick, Michael Dick, Nicholas Oliver. Honorary Pallbearers are Daniel Wilbanks, Brian Fields and Chad Fields.
