Daily Prayer: March 29

Psalm 19:1-2 “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.”

O God of all creation, it was a small thing for You to speak the heavens into being. It was no effort for You to put the stars in place. All of this is Your signature written across the expanse of space to demonstrate to all nations that You hold the whole world in Your hands. Day after day and night after night Your message is there. The language of the heavens speaks of Your majesty and power.

Thank you Lord, for speaking in such a profound way to us. To those who have the eyes to see and the ears to hear Your message of creation You give great knowledge. We know that all of this could not have just happened without You as some continue to tell us.

In Your greatness You speak to the needs of every human heart. It is awesome that a great God can speak even to a small child. May this person who pauses for prayer hear Your voice. We pray in Jesus name.

Amen.
