Psalm 23:2. “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.”
O Divine Shepherd, we know that we are safe from the danger of today’s wolves and as Your flock can feed on the green grass of heaven and lie down in it when we have had enough.
We have longed for the still waters where we can safely drink. For days on end we live with the rushing torrents that are so disturbing to us. Then You lead us beside the still waters and life is refreshed.
If this person who reads this prayer is in need of a peaceful day and night take this one to the green pasture where there is food for the soul and to the still waters where there is calm and peace through Christ.
Amen.
