Fannin County Schools Selected for Reach Program

Fannin County Schools are excited to be selected to participate in the Reach program. REACH, an integral tenet of the Complete College Georgia Initiative, is a needs-based mentorship and scholarship program designed to encourage students. The program starts in middle school, and helps kids to persist in their educational pursuits. Students are provided with the academic, social, and financial support needed to graduate from high school and have access to college.

There are only a handful of school systems chosen to receive REACH, which stands for Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen. Superintendent Mark Henson expressed his excitement and said,

“It’s a great thing.”

There are approximately 12 schools systems selected and Fannin is one of the very few in North Georgia to be included.
