II Timothy 4:7 “ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”O Lord our God, to be able to say in our old age that we have fought a good fight and have kept the faith is a coveted crescendo to life. When the sunset fuses with the dusk, we desire to hear from you “well done thou good and faithful servant.” We pray today for the aged people who have trodden far down the pathway of life. In these latter years they have so many needs. Grant to them a sense of accomplishment as well as a sense of continued purpose. Help them to live life to the fullest as in the days of youth. Give them strength to bear all physical afflictions. Provide every necessity. May they find love, acceptance, and a way of service to you each day.
If this person who seeks you now has nothing but the memory of a misspent life with no hope for the future, help this one to understand that life can begin at the Cross; through Christ our Lord.
Amen
